Adult Mental Health First Aider

In person 2-day course takes place on 6 June and 11 June, 9am to 4.30pm: venue to be confirmed. You must be able to attend both days of the course.
This free training course teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
Course content
This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider, giving you:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support.
Materials and Certification
After full attendance, you will be qualified as a Mental Health First Aider and receive a certificate.
