This half day (3 hours) annual skills first aid course, recommended by HSE, provides the first Aider with an opportunity to practice their first aid during their 3 year qualification period.

Who should attend?

This course is intended for all those holding a First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work (Appointed Persons) qualification.

Why attend?

This course will reinforce skills currently held and build on existing knowledge/confidence which both rapidly deteriorate without use.

Practical course covering how to

• Communication and casualty care.
• Managing an incident.
• Looking after yourself and the casualty.
• Adult, child and infant resuscitation.
• Treatment of severe bleeding, chest pain and an unconscious casualty.
• Treatment of choking in adults, children and infants

Minimum age 16
