The Charity for Charities – What we do
10th June 2025
Hello and a warm welcome to being part of the voluntary sector in Bradford district!
We are Community Action Bradford & District, the charity for charities. A dedicated support organisation for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across the Bradford District, providing essential resources, guidance and opportunities to help community groups thrive. This is sometimes called a CVS or Council for Voluntary Services, Community Action Bradford & District is one of these.
We serve the whole of the Bradford District, that’s Bradford, Shipley, Bingley, Keighley, Ilkley and everywhere in between. If your group has a BD or LS29 postcode, you can come to us for guidance.
We offer a wide range of services including:
- Organisational support – helping voluntary groups with governance, funding, marketing and strategic development
- Networking and collaboration – bringing Leaders’ together to strengthen our collective impact
- Training and development – providing workshops and courses to enhance skills and knowledge in the voluntary sector. This includes our Getting Started short introduction / refresher courses, ideal for new groups.
If that isn’t enough, we offer rooms to hire, a community payroll service, weekly newsletters, a jobs board, and more! To see our full range of services, visit our website at www.cabad.org.uk.
