Services Managed by Community Action
This privacy notice explains in detail how we use the personal information collected about you when you use a service run by Community Action Bradford & District. If you have any questions or concerns, please email our charity’s CEO and data controller, Dr Soo Nevison at soo@cabad.org.uk.
Access to your information, and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you, free of charge.
If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email info@cabad.org.uk or write to us at Community Action Bradford & District, Cardigan House, Ferncliffe Road, Bingley, BD16 2TA.
We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If you see any errors or notice that your details are out of date, please let us know so we can correct or remove inaccurate information.
Processing your personal data
The personal information we collect, who we share it with and how long we keep it varies depending on which service you use. Please see our full list of services below to better understand the privacy policies for each one.
Room Bookings (Keighley & Bingley)
We collect personal information to process your room booking. This includes your name and contact details. The legal basis for processing this data is performance of a contract. This means that personal information is collected so that we can provide the service you have requested.
Information is stored on our password-protected server and then for up to 12 months, after which point the booking is securely deleted. We do not share this information with other organisations.
Organisation Support
We collect information about you to deal with your request for support. This includes your name and contact details. The legal basis for processing this data is performance of a contract. This means that personal information is collected so that we can provide the service you have requested and contact you to request feedback.
Information is stored on our password-protected server and database. We retain records of the support that your organisation has had, but remove any personal contact details, for up to 12 months after the last contact with you, after which point it is securely deleted.
We do not share your personal information with funders or other organisations outside of our contracts.
Training
We collect information about you so we can provide training. This includes your name, email address and phone number. The legal basis for this is performance of a contract. This means that personal information is collected for the administration, delivery and monitoring of services provided by the Here 4 BDCC Support and Improvement Programme. We may also use your email address to send you our training newsletter, however you can opt out of this at any time.
This information is stored securely on a password-protected server. We retain this data for the minimum duration required for the purpose stated above and for an additional 12 months, after which point your data will be securely destroyed and deleted.
If you do not wish for your information to be processed by Community Action for the purpose described above, you can ask us to delete all or part of your data, however this may affect our ability to fulfil our contractual obligation to you in providing services.
Networks
We collect information about you relating to your Network and Forum memberships. This data includes your name, email address and telephone number. The legal basis for processing this data is a legitimate and public interest. This means that personal data is collected so that we can provide the service you have requested, and send you relevant information that will be of interest.
Information is stored on a password-protected server and on password-protected databases and will be retained for the duration of your membership or until you no longer wish to hear from us, at which point your information will be securely destroyed.
We will not share this data with anybody outside of the Activation contract without prior request and consent.
Newsletters
We collect information about you to process your request to receive email newsletters from us. This data includes your name and email address. The legal basis for processing this data is performance of a contract. This means that personal data is collected so that we can provide the service you have requested and send you relevant information that will be of interest.
Information is stored on a password-protected server and on password-protected databases and will be kept for 2 years, after which time you will be asked to confirm your subscription. If you decide to terminate your subscription your data will be securely deleted and destroyed.
You may opt out at any time if you no longer wish to receive information.
Website analytics
We may use cookies and other tracking technologies on our websites in order to customise and improve your experience. When you access the site, you will be asked if you consent to the collection of your data, thereby giving you the choice to opt out.
The data collected includes the pages you visit on the website and how long you spend on each page. This data is anonymised and stored on a password-protected server for a period of 3 years, after which time it expires and is securely destroyed.
