Area Network Events- Capacity Building

This event will look at how partners work together better on a locality footprint.
It will have two parts
Morning: Voluntary sector Collaboration – 10.00-12.00
Update 9 January: In light of the Bradford Council budget proposals to cut the VCSE infrastructure support contract with immediate effect we have decided to repurpose this meeting.
This meeting will now focus on building the future landscape of support the voluntary sector needs. It will look at priority areas of support and how these can be best met in the future, with likely reduced infrastructure support.
The morning session is now only for voluntary sector organisations. If you are not from a voluntary sector organisation, we thank you for your interest, but you may only attend lunch and the second part of the session from 12.30pm.
Afternoon: 13.30-16.00
Following the Big Team Meet held back in May, we are now running the requested five-locality, place-based Meets.
This is an opportunity for partners across the council, health and VCSE who work in localities to come together to focus on working together better in their locality for the benefit of all local residents. This is open to anyone who works in who works district wide and wants to connect with people in different areas.
There will be a light lunch in between (12.30 – 13:30) , which you are welcome to attend if you are attending either or both parts of the event.
Equivalent events are being run in the other locality areas. Content and style will vary to fit local contexts, but the overall aims and purposes will be the same. District wide organisations may therefore wish to focus their attendance on areas where they wish to build the most connections.
Event content is the same across all five area networks so you only need to attend one of the five events:
- Book on Keighley area network, Thursday 8 February 2024 (10am to 4pm), in person at Central Hall (Final places available for voluntary sector colleagues. Statutory sector colleagues please book on an alternative date)
- Book on Bradford South area network, Wednesday 7 February 2024 (10am to 4pm), in person at TFD Youth Centre .
- Book on Bradford West area network, Tuesday 6 February 2024 (10am to 4pm), in person at Manningham Mills.
- Book on Shipley area network, Thursday 1 February 2024 (10am to 4pm), in person at Highcroft Youth Centre
- Book on Bradford East area network, Monday 19 February 2024 (10am to 4pm), in person at Bradford Trident
