You may be aware that Community Action have spent the last six months talking to many of you about Briefing Bradford becoming a paid-for subscription service. The environment when we started that journey is very different to where it is now. The sector is experiencing massive hardship.
It is acknowledged that Briefing Bradford supports the grassroots organisations in Bradford District who rely on this newsletter to provide complex, varied and multi-sourced information in an accessible and informative way. Often they do not have the capacity or reach to do this themselves.
With that in mind, the Community Action Board of Trustees have discussed your feedback and made the decision to underwrite the cost of the newsletter for a little bit longer. This means everybody will continue to receive Briefing Bradford, for free, beyond 1st April, for the next year.
This decision will allow us time to undertake a piece of work to review our organisational strategy. This will be a sector needs-led process and throughout this process we will review Briefing Bradford, alongside our other services and new developments to ensure we are continuing to meet your needs and those of the wider VCSE sector. This will begin with a survey and some in-person listening exercises so watch this space for details of how to get involved.
What happens next?
If your organisation has purchased a subscription to Briefing Bradford already, you should already have heard from us about this. If you haven’t yet, please hang tight and we will contact you very soon.
Briefing Bradford’s content and format will remain the same until we have completed the first stage of our strategy process. If there are clear asks in how to develop and improve this offer after that time, then we will consider these and make changes as required.
We want to thank you for your patience, cooperation and feedback during this subscription service process.
