The racist and Islamophobic violence we have seen unfolding across the country is incredibly disturbing. We know the impact of this on the people we serve, our colleagues and our diverse partner organisations cannot be underestimated.

Community Action Bradford & District is proud to have its roots in the diverse and brilliant multicultural city of Bradford, which is a City of Sanctuary.

The targeting of people seeking sanctuary, of refugees and asylum seekers, of the Muslim community, and of any other people affected by violence and intimidation, ought to be swiftly and robustly condemned by all of us across civil society.

As an organisation, we will continue to engage with partners across the voluntary and public sector to share the most up to date information, provide support to partners, colleagues and residents, and to promote safety.

We stand with each of the communities who are being targeted with hatred and violence, and condemn any acts of racism and aggression towards them.
