Community Action: The Year Ahead

Here at Community Action Bradford & District, we have a very busy year ahead and there will be lots of opportunities to get involved. We will be adding to this throughout the year so do keep checking back.

| Spring 2025 (March, April, May) | 24th April – Big Meet event: get your tickets on Eventbrite. April 30th – Leaders’ Network meeting We will be developing our draft 2025-2028 strategy this year so expect our Needs Survey in spring. Sport for Good West Yorkshire, there will be masterclasses on: sustainable practices/energy, EDI, volunteering, governance and leadership and fundraising/income generation. |
| Summer 2025 (June, July, August) | June 26th – Leaders’ Network meeting August 19th – Leaders’ Network meeting The Activation interim contract will come to an end over the summer so there will be a period of understanding infrastructure support and future needs. We will be developing our 2025-2028 strategy this year so expect some communications in the summer. Sport for Good West Yorkshire, there will be masterclasses in Membership Development, Inclusive Marketing, Revenue Diversification and Developing local partnerships. We will be recruiting trustees in the summer so watch this space if you’d like to find out more. We have launched our range of Getting Started workshops– free for organisations with an income of £100,000 or below! Check out the workshops on offer. |
| Autumn 2025 (September, October, November) | We will have developed our 2026-2029 strategy by autumn so will officially launch our full and final organisational strategy which will underpin our work for the next three years. Our Getting Started workshops will be in full swing with each workshop delivered quarterly – that’s lots of opportunity to find a date that works for you! We will be launching our ‘next steps’ training courses, the next step up from our Getting Started courses. Perfect for those organisations who want to build on their existing knowledge and skills. Leaders Network – online on 19th August. TBC. Leaders Network – in person at Thornton Community Centre on 16th October. Sport for Good finale event! Details to follow. |
| Winter 2025/2026 (December, January, February) | Leaders Network – 9th December. TBC. Leaders Network – 5th February. TBC. We will have a communications break from 22nd December until 5th January. The last Briefing Bradford of 2025 will be 17th December, with the first one of 2026 being on 7th January. |
Alongside all of this, we will be looking for other pieces of work, particularly working with West Yorkshire colleagues, to deliver more support and better support for your organisations.
