For trustees, fundraising volunteers or staff with little to no experience who are training up into a fundraising role or taking on delegated tasks. We will discuss:

  • Different types of funding, pros and cons e.g. difference between grants, donations, contracts and loans.
  • What makes a good grant application.
  • Managing grant funding expectations; timescales, rejection rates, and why options are different depending on the organisation’s legal structure.
  • What makes a good donation campaign.
  • Gift Aid basics and where to get more information/ advice.
  • Where to find funding opportunities.

This course is perfect for: People with no or little experience of fundraising looking to raise money for activities or running costs for a registered charity, voluntary group with a constitution, or community interest company.

If you’re already an experienced member of staff, why not recommend this course to a trustee or colleague with less experience to help improve fundraising knowledge across the organisation?

Please note: this course is not accredited but a certificate of attendance will be given.
