Free and low-cost resources
Fundraising, especially from grant funding can take time so “fund-saving” might be a quicker option.
Community Action is a charity set up to help other charities and community organisations so these options are for organisations in Bradford district. Individuals in need can use the Cost of Living Bradford website instead.

Recycled furniture is available from a number of outlets in Bradford district including:
St Vincent’s Rees Way Superstore
Over 2 Hills includes a free office furniture service for charities and other community groups.
Re-Work is an office furniture social enterprise in Yorkshire, providing chairs, tables, desks, filing cabinets, shelving and pedestals etc. They sell new and recycled furniture.
Refurbishment
Recycled paint is available from Bradford Community Repaint.
B&Q donates unsaleable products and waste materials for re-use by recognised community groups. It donates products through a website called “Neighbourly“.
Participate Projects can help find skilled volunteers such as architects and lawyers to work in the community for free and volunteers for mass team participation projects including community clean ups or school gardens in areas of urban disadvantage. Websites can be built and hosted for free or low-cost using websites such as WordPress, Wix and Weebly.
Canva.com is design software online with an optional free Canva upgrade for non-profits.

Supplies
In-Kind Direct can provide office supplies, cleaning products, toys, clothing and other products donated by businesses. Your organisation pays for delivery. Remember – your organisation or your charity’s beneficiaries have to use the products, you cannot resell them or raffle them for charity.
