Better Start – Better Futures builds directly on the foundations laid by Better Start Bradford. The original Better Start Bradford website remains live for the next two years and holds the full record of that ten-year programme, including:

- Our Projects 2015–2025 – a full directory of the 20+ projects and services delivered, including those funded through the HEY (Health and Early Years) Fund
- Evaluation and Impact – findings from Born in Bradford and partners, plus impact stories from families and the workforce
- Tools & Resources – the Learning Library, podcast series and practical resources for families and practitioners
What you’ll find on this site instead
This site is where BSBF shares what comes next: how the learning is being applied, the projects we continue to support, and our wider work influencing the early years system across Bradford District. Over time, this will include:
- Project impact reports and updates from work we continue to oversee
- Reflections and learning from the CoRE Partnership
- News on our development as an independent organisation, funding bids, consultancy work and national contributions
Think of it this way: betterstartbradford.org.uk is the archive of what was learned. This site is where that learning goes to work.
What We Do Now (Building on the Learning Phase)
From delivery to influence
Better Start Bradford spent a decade testing what works for babies, children and families through direct delivery: groups, sessions, projects and services on the ground. That phase is complete, and we’re proud of what it achieved.
Better Start – Better Futures is something genuinely new. We are not running groups, sessions or services. Our role now is system and district-wide influence: making sure the evidence gathered over ten years actively shapes how services, commissioning and policy decisions are made across Bradford District, for every baby, child and family, not only in the original Better Start Bradford neighbourhoods.
In practice, this means convening the right people through the CoRE Partnership, supporting a small number of projects that continue the work on the ground, and making sure parent and community voice is built into decisions from the outset, rather than consulted on afterwards.
