Better Start – Better Futures oversees and supports a number of projects that began under Better Start Bradford and continue to make a difference across the district. These sit alongside our wider system influence work; each is one part of BSBF, not the whole of it.
Better Place
Improving parks, streets and green spaces so families with young children have safe, attractive places to spend time outdoors.
Baby Week
A district-wide celebration connecting families with services, support and each other during their baby’s earliest months.
BiBBS
Born in Bradford Better Start.
A world-leading research programme which aims to find out what keeps families healthy and happy by tracking the lives of over 60,000 Bradfordians.
Talking Bradford
Supporting speech, language and communication across the Bradford district, including insights from peer review and work through the ELSEC and TLC programmes.
Just as Best Start in Life is one part of the wider early years system, these projects are one part of BSBF’s work, not the full picture. Our role is to help connect them, share what they learn, and make sure that learning reaches decision-makers across the district.
