Getting Started – DIY Fundraising (online)

Cost

  • Free if your voluntary sector organisation’s annual income is up to £100,000.
  • If your voluntary sector organisation’s annual income is £100,001 and above, the charge is £20 per person (non-refundable course fee). Before booking – read the cancellation policy and get permission to pay for the course.

Course content: DIY Fundraising

Looking to raise funds without relying solely on grants? Or is your organisation just getting started and looking for small ways to raise funds?

This session is about what you can do right now using the time, skills and networks you already have to build financial resilience.

What we will cover:

  • Community events that bring people together to engage communities and raise funds
  • Online crowdfunding – what, where, how?
  • How building partnerships with local businesses and organisations can open up new fundraising opportunities
  • Using online tools like social media to promote your cause and generate donations
  • Tools, resources and sources of further fundraising support

 By the end of the session, you will have practical, actionable ideas you can start using straight away – no big budgets required.

This course is perfect for: small to medium VCSE organisations looking to generate funds or diversify their income, staff or volunteers involved in fundraising, groups new to fundraising.

Who can book?

Getting Started courses are exclusively for trustees, staff and volunteers from voluntary and community sector organisations in Bradford district. This includes; charities, community interest companies limited by guarantee, faith groups, sports clubs, and other not-for-profit groups with a constitution.

Not part of a voluntary sector organisation? Not in Bradford district? Sorry, this course is not for you.

    Will I get a booking confirmation?

    Yes, you will get an automated email confirming your booking. Remember to check your junk mail folder. If you use more than one email, remember to check the mailbox for the email address you registered with.

    What about the Zoom link?

    Two days before the course everyone who books will get another email with the Zoom meeting details. We will also send an email reminder on the day. Remember to check your junk mail folder. We do not publish the Zoom link on the website. You must book a place to get the link.
